SLIPKNOT TEASES 2019 RELEASE DATE FOR NEXT LP
Slipknot's Twitter account has posted a photo of singer Corey Taylor and percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan on Friday (April 20th), with only the year "2019" in the caption.
- Back in February, Taylor declared that the new material was "awesome" and posted an image of him writing lyrics for the record.
- Asked by Musik Universe about the lyrics, Taylor explained, "It's really dark. It's probably the most autobiographical I've been in years. Just for the fact that I've been through a lot the last few years and I've been sitting on a lot."
- The new disc would follow up 2014's .5: The Gray Chapter, which ended a lengthy hiatus for the group following the death of bassist Paul Gray in 2010.

EMBER HAS DEBUTED AT NUMBER THREE
Breaking Benjamin's sixth studio album, Ember, has debuted at Number Three on the Billboard 200 album chart, selling 88,000 equivalent album units, 80,000 of which were traditional album sales. Ember is the multi-platinum band’s fourth Top Five debut on the Billboard survey, following 2015’s chart-topping debut for Dark Before Dawn, 2009’s Dear Agony, which arrived at Number Four, and 2006’s Phobia which launched at Number Two.
JUDAS PRIEST & DEEP PURPLE ANNOUNCE SUMMER TOUR
In what's bound to be one of the hottest double bills of the summer, Deep Purple and Judas Priest have announced a joint 25-city North American trek. The tour launches on August 21st at Cincinnati, Ohio's Riverbend Music Center and winds down on September 30th in Wheatland, California at the Toyota Amphitheatre. Deep Purple will be touring behind its latest release, 2017'sinFinite, which was produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin. Judas Priest will be spotlighting tracks from its 2018 album, Firepower.

- Out now is Deep Purple’s latest live DVD and Blu-ray concert collection, called Live In Verona. The summer 2011 show was filmed in the Arena di Verona -- a Roman amphitheater originally built in 30 AD -- and features the band joined by Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt for the performance.
- The disc includes such Deep Purple favorites as “Smoke On The Water,” “Lazy,” “Strange Kind Of Woman,” “Perfect Strangers,” “Highway Star,” “Woman From Tokyo,” “Hush,” and “Black Night” -- all performed with the backing of the symphony orchestra.
