Saying "OK, Boomer" at Work Could Get You Fired for Discrimination?

You’ve probably heard about the new "OK, boomer" catchphrase that younger people drop when a baby boomer does something that's condescending, out of touch, or destructive to the future of the planet and society.  Well . . . boomers AREN'T happy about people being condescending toward THEM.

And now there's a message going around that you could be FIRED for dropping it at work.

It comes down to the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967. That bans people from creating a hostile work environment over someone's age . . . and "OK, boomer" qualifies.

And by the way, that rule does NOT apply both ways. It only applies to people over 40, so your older coworkers are free to make millennial jokes with no repercussions.
